Annual general meeting of Lost Creek Community Association:
Monday, January 19th – 7pm to 8pm
We’ve booked the Board Room at the community center.
This will be the last meeting I chair for the group.
Our V.P (Trina) will be stepping down as well. Therefore, there is a need to fill the following positions:
A Director to take over the administration of the FB page and membership.

Lost Creek Family BBQ scheduled for Saturday September 6th at the Park on Heatherglen Drive. 12pm to 2pm.
Come out for some FREE Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Potato Salad, and Juice or Pop. We will have some veggie burgers available.
If you wish, bring out some toss toys – Frisbee, washer toss or whatever you prefer. Bring a picnic blanket or fold up chairs too.
We need a few volunteers to help out. Care to help? Please send me a private message or email at lostcreekresidents @ gmail.com (REMOVE SPACES) and we’ll get you on the BBQ volunteer email list for discussions.

The Beaver Bank Community Awareness Association is hosting the 20th annual Town Hall meeting for all residents of the Community:
Thursday, May 8th
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Doors & Displays will open at 6:30pm
Place: Beaver Bank Kinsac Community Center
1583 Beaver Bank Rd
Our theme this year will be: “New tools to keep us Safe”
One of the BBCAA’s main functions is to keep the Community safe. To do that we maintain ties to all the Community Groups and share information regarding safety related events in our community. We have purchased some new equipment and initiated new information programs that we want to share.
The meeting will start at 7:00pm with reports from our local Fire Dept., Community Policing Office, and other community groups including the Community Center. We will be conducting our yearly association business, including board elections. Before conclusion, we will be encouraging comments and questions from the audience on any topic of community interest or concern, and look forward to your participation in this segment. The meeting will conclude at 8:30 pm and will be followed by refreshments provided by members of our Community.
For the past 20 years we have enjoyed a very positive turnout, your attendance will be greatly appreciated. A great chance to munch, mingle and enjoy our New Community Center.

Have a green thumb and some time to spare?
We need some residents to be part of a Planting Committee to enhance the beauty of the park or the entrance to Lost Creek. These volunteers will spear-head landscaping at the park on Heatherglen and possibly underneath a new sign at the Top of Pinehurst Drive. If anyone has some carpentry skills, we’d also like to have some wooden planters as part of that sign. Committee members and volunteers would be responsible to source/obtain and plant the flowers or shrubs approved by the committee.

General meeting of the Association to take place November 26 – 7pm to 9pm at the new Community Center.
If you have anything you would like to see on the agenda, please send it to email@example.com for consideration.
Items that will be discussed so far include:
– Future park activity/budget.
– The recent and ongoing problem of prowlers and car break-ins in Lost Creek.
– Selection of a new executive including President, Vice-President(s), Secretary, Treasurer and a number of Directors.
If there is a vote to occur on any decision or the need to vote for any position, residents who currently contribute to the Area Rate will be eligible to cast one vote per household.
We haven’t had a permanent Secretary or Treasurer so if you would like to be involved and can spare just a few minutes every other month or so to fill these or any other roles it would be greatly appreciated by all.
If anyone could volunteer to take minutes as an interim Secretary on the 26th that would be great…please think about this. If we don’t have a functional executive for the association it makes operations and planning more difficult.

Our celebration and BBQ went off with out too many hitches. Everyone seemed to have a great time and enjoyed each others company. The kids made awesome use of the new playground equipment and the hotdogs and burgers were pretty tasty.
Credit goes to the BBQ / Park Opening Committee and a few last minute individuals for pulling every aspect of this together and each person contributed something significant to the event….Thank you all.

UPDATE – AUGUST 17 – Forecast looks GREAT for tomorrow SATURDAY AUG. 18 – BBQ is a GO!
Don’t forget to bring some change or cash for the 50/50 tomorrow at the Family BBQ. There is also a bonus golf package up for grabs after the 50/50 draw. You need to be in the 50/50 to win it!!!!
The picnic shelter is almost complete at the park! Lets keep our fingers crossed for decent weather this Saturday for our Family BBQ, 11 am to 2 pm, at the park. We’ll have hot dogs and burgers, chips, beverages, and cake!! Music, Balloon animals for the kids and other games. And of course, the new playground to play on!!
